Additionally the principal customers are major engineering and pharmaceutical companies as well as key universities. Job Description As a Senior Account Manager your focus will be to become the solutions expert for the business. Whilst your fellow Account Managers are responsible for the management of customer accounts you are responsible for ownership of the solutions, selling the full range of complex information and content solutions and acting as the key product expert for the business unit. In collaboration with the Account Managers, work to identify and/or create opportunities and present to the customer as a compelling solution. You will gather, monitor and evaluate information on competing solutions and work to minimise their impact on sales and product development activities. Also you will provide feedback to market development groups, provide detailed product information and updates for the Account Managers and inform them of new releases and functionality. Participation in trade shows and conferences as well as leading on presentations and customer training sessions will be key. The Successful Applicant - Current experience working in a sales role for a research information, business information or content-based information solutions provider.
- Track record of managing and selling to senior decisionmakers within large organisations across Federal Government, Academia or large private organisations.
- Adept at mastering detailed technical information, conducting presentations, running bid processes et al.
- Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
